Thanksgiving! It’s the greatest day of the year. But per usual, fans are being given a weak slate of NFL games. The NFL has a stranglehold on Thanksgiving and they flex that power by putting out terrible matchups every year. We’ll still watch, bet, and have a merry Thanksgiving. Here’s our NFL Thanksgiving predictions:
Slim Pickings in Detroit
The Detroit Lions kick off the slate, hosting the Chicago Bears. Despite this game having the largest spread, it should be the closest and most entertaining. The Lions have been feasting all season, but things will turn scrappy this Thanksgiving.
The Bears are on a five-game losing streak, but they’re improving each week. Also, they’ve been giving their division fits. Chicago has flirted with wins, but they failed to close out games. Bettors should expect to see something similar while chowing down this Thursday.
The Lions are playing like the best team in the league, and they fully expect to end their Thanksgiving losing streak. However, this is the biggest trap game the Lions will see all season. While they should still clinch the win, this game will have stomachs churning in Detroit.

Feast in Green Bay
The Miami Dolphins have turned things around since Tua’s return. Their recent wins would indicate they’re ready to run with a team like Green Bay. But anyone who watches the Dolphins knows that is not the case.
This five-game stretch will paint the perfect picture of Miami. The Dolphins beat up on bad teams and look good by playing tight games with Buffalo. But I think they’ll be embarrassed playing any other playoff contender.
McDaniel will likely have some new tricks that will help Miami move the ball. They’ll give the people an entertaining game but will give up too many points.
