Here’s your NFL Sunday Free Play for 10/6/24.
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans
The line in this one is inexplicable. The Buffalo Bills have looked stellar to start this season, and they’ve dispelled any beliefs that they’re not still a contender in the AFC. Last week they ran into a Baltimore squad that had something to prove. The Ravens needed a statement win and they took that from Buffalo. The Bills now have the perfect bounce-back spot as they go to Houston to play the worst 3-1 team in the league.
CJ Stroud and the Texans were the darling of the league last year, but they’ve struggled through the first four weeks of this season. It may seem unfair to call three wins struggling, but they’re 0-3-1 against the spread. Worse than that, two of their wins came against bottom three defenses and were won by four points or less.
Buffalo’s defense will have its way with CJ Stroud, and if their offense can establish the run, Josh Allen will have no problem running up the score in this one.

Buffalo Over 24.5 points (+110)
Texans Under 22.5 Points (+114)
Cleveland Browns @ Washington Commanders
We have another head-scratcher as the Washington Commanders are just a three-point favorite hosting the Cleveland Browns.
Jayden Daniels may be the best rookie quarterback we’ve seen since Cam Newton, and while this will be the toughest defense Washington has faced this season, there’s no reason to think that’s enough to slow down the best team in the NFC East.
As Keg touched on in the Week 5 Action Plan, we will see a regression from Washington at some point, but it’s hard to imagine that coming against the Browns.
Cleveland has too many injuries on both sides of the ball, and even if they can limit Daniels’ production, Washington’s run game will be too much for them. A young team like the Commanders will always have some disappointing losses in the season, but this is not that letdown spot.

Washington Commanders -3 (-105)
