Steelers vs Browns Predictions and Free Bets

The Game: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

The Line: Steelers -3.5

The Total: 36.5

One of the oldest rivalries in football is renewed as Pittsburgh heads to Cleveland. It’s the Steelers and Browns Thursday Night Football for this week. Pittsburgh is coming off their best win of the season, but they will have to make a quick turnaround for this prime-time game.

Steel Curtain

The Steelers put up their best defensive performance of the year on Sunday, thwarting off the Ravens While Pittsburgh’s defense did their job, the offense did not. Kicker Chris Boswell was responsible for all 18 points the Steelers needed to beat the Ravens.

That Steelers victory proved that divisional games are dicey, and require closer analysis when handicapping. By all measures, the Steelers are a vastly superior team to the Browns. But given their history, Cleveland has a real shot for the upset. The home team has won and covered in the last five meetings between these teams.

Nasty Weather for Steelers Vs Browns Thursday Night Football

Despite their history, the weather will be the biggest talking point for this game. The forecast is cold, wet, and rainy. Under perfect conditions, points would come at a premium in a matchup such as this, but factor in the weather and short week, and the outcome could resemble a baseball total.

Back The Browns

It seems crazy to even consider the Browns, but this is the perfect letdown spot. The Steelers are coming off that massive win and heading into a bye.

This will be a defense-heavy game, and even if Pittsburgh snatches another win, it will not be by a wide margin. Cleveland has a strong pass defense. They don’t want to rely on Wilson’s arm in the heavy winds. Bettors should expect Najee Harris to see plenty of action.
