NFL Futures Bet: Receiving Yards Leader

NFL Receiving Leader

Looking at the sports betting odds for the NFL receiving yards leader prop, it’s a completely open field.

Tyreek Hill (+650) is the odds-on favorite to repeat as the receiving yards leader. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa stated that he’s trying to get Hill to 2,000 yards this season. If Tyreek doesn’t repeat, I can see a long-shot winning this award and the bet should offer a payout of 30/1 or better.

The only other favorite I was considering is Ja’Marr Chase (+1100). He’s one of the most skilled receivers in the game, but we haven’t seen him play a full season with Joe Burrow since his rookie year. If both studs can stay healthy, he could run away with this title, but that’s a BIG if.

Moving Down the Sports Betting Odds Board

Outside of Hill and Chase, it’s a dry list. Turmoil will keep smart money off of Cowboys stud, CeeDee Lamb, while Justin Jefferson doesn’t deserve the odds he’s being given with Sam Darnold throwing to him. It’s interesting to have two receivers from the same team in the top ten; as if Rams WR’s Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua aren’t sharing the same football.

Moving further down the list, it’s odd to see Nico Collins’ name before Stefon Diggs. While one can easily argue that Collins will receive more targets as teams choose to put greater coverage on Diggs. This is a sheer numbers play and I’ll take Diggs at 47/1 over Collins 41/1. However, being such long shots, it’s probably worth throwing some dough on both.

Lastly, bettors need to sprinkle a few bucks on Bills WR Keon Coleman. Coleman has a real chance to stun the league and post some crazy numbers this season.

Skip the coffee tomorrow morning, take that five bucks, and put it on Coleman to lead the league in receiving a shot at winning $1,000.

Best Bets: NFL Receiving Yards Leader:

Tyreek Hill (+650)

Stefon Diggs (+4700)

Keon Coleman (+210/1)
