The Tulane Green Wave heads to Denton, Texas to take on the North Texas Mean Green. Both teams come into this game at 5-2 with, Tulane having the conference edge (AAC) 3-0 vs North Texas 2-1.
Mean Green
This North Texas team is built via the portal. 40 players transferred in, 20 of those were from power-four programs. They had a tough loss at Texas Tech on 9/14 where they were routed 66-21.
However they have recently responded and seem to be trending in the right direction. They reeled off 3 straight wins, then went to the Liberty Bowl and lost. Although they lost 52-44 at Memphis, it’s a very tough place to win, and they were very competitive there last week.

Tulane’s last loss came against a soft Oklahoma team. They have, however, benefitted from being +12 in turnovers in their last 4 games and are +11 turnovers on the season.

In conclusion, my ratings have these two teams very close, and we get the home field with North Texas catching 8 points. In fact, I think this will be a great game that the Mean Green could steal outright.
