We have yet another stellar Thursday Night matchup between two teams still fighting for their playoff spots. Here are our Broncos vs Chargers predictions and picks:
Both these AFC West teams currently hold playoff spots, and despite a year of mediocre play from the Kansa City Chiefs, both squads are holding onto wild cards. Due to the Colts and Dolphins losing last week, neither team is too fearful of losing their spot. However, there’s still plenty to play for with seeding being up in the air. One win could be the difference between traveling to Buffalo or Houston for the first round of the playoffs.
In this divisional matchup, the home team is favored by three points despite being decimated by the Buccaneers last week. The Chargers spent most of this season making a strong campaign to be a player in the AFC. Yet given how they have played the past three weeks, it’s hard to view them as a favorite here.
The Broncos have won four in a row, and are now 9-5. While they’ve failed to beat a team of stature, the Chargers very may well be the kind of team they beat up on. Nobody should be running to bet Denver in the postseason, but they are a great option here on Thursday Night.
Best Bet: Broncos (+130)
Bo Nix is no gunslinger, but he gets the job done. LA has one of the better pass defenses in the league. The last time these teams faced off, Nix threw for 216 yards. Nix has improved and injuries have regressed the Chargers defense. There’s no reason to expect a career game from Nix, but he should pass Vegas’ number.
Best Bet: Bo Nix Over 222.5 Passing Yards (-110)
This will be a competitive game between two teams that have plenty to play for. However, it should still be a low-scoring game. The perfect spot to throw down a teaser for safe money.
