Week 14 Monday Night Football Predictions

Cincinnati Bengals vs Dallas Cowboys

Two teams mired in disappointing seasons get a chance to put some positivity into their fan base when they take the field for Monday Night Football this week. Both teams will be eager to put on a good performance in prime time. Here’s our Monday Night Football predictions for the Bengals @ Cowboys game.

Cincinnati

The Bengals have to be disappointed with their results this season. Their quarterback Joe Burrow is having an MVP-level season yet the team is 4-8. Burrow is one of five quarterbacks in NFL history to throw 30 touchdown passes with less than six interceptions in the first 12 games of the year. Of the five players to achieve this feat, Burrow is the only one to have a losing record.

The Bengals have an opportunity to get a win against the flailing Cowboys team. Will they take advantage or will their defense with them down once again?

Dallas

The Cowboys suffered another injury after losing All Pro Guard Zack Martin last week. The injuries continue to mount for the Cowboys. However, they are coming off a win, with a 27-20 win over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day. Neither of these teams are tanking for a quarterback. Cee Dee Lamb is capable of going off and we can expect a solid performance from both teams.

Key Matchup

Bengals Defensive Line versus Cowboys Offensive Line

We know the Bengals are going to put up points, the question is will the defense do their part? The Bengals are going to need to get pressure on the quarterback and stop the run if they want to have a good defensive effort in this game. So many times this season the Bengals defense has let them down after a great offensive performance. Will that happen again? They have a great chance to make a statement against an injured Cowboys offensive line.

Monday Night Football Predictions

The Cowboys are simply too beat up right now to compete, although they did defeat the hapless New York Giants. Cincinnati has a playoff-caliber offense, unfortunately, they have a terrible defense. I expect the Bengals offense to show up here and put on another huge performance in prime time. I don’t think this game will be close. The Bengals will make a statement and I’ll lay the 5 with them.

Best Bet: Cincinnati Bengals -5 (-110)
