Here’s our Chiefs vs Bills prediction for Sunday November 17th. In a week with weak primetime games, tucked into the late afternoon slate is must-watch football. The 9-0 Kansas City Chiefs head to Buffalo to take on the Bills. The time slot for this one is a head-scratcher, but it is a gift considering the other two four o’clock games.
Bills Stampede
Many thought that Josh Allen’s Super Bowl window was temporarily closed. But he’s leading his team to one of their best seasons. Allen doesn’t have the weapons he once did, but the new level of play he is on is making all the difference. While his vanity stats are down, his QBR is up and his interceptions are at an all-time low. As he reaches his prime, he threatens Mahomes for the title of best quarterback in the league.
What has stood out in Buffalo this season is the way they are trouncing teams. Last season, they squeaked out wins week after week. However, this year the Bills are winning games by an average of 16 points.
Concern does creep in when their schedule is broken down. Their two losses were against the Ravens and the Texans. So their wins, while colossal, were not against anyone impressive.
Lucky Dogs
Nine wins to open the season is an incredible start, but only two of those games have been won by more than a score. Wild calls and wilder plays have kept the Chiefs out of the loss column. Sooner or later things have to break for Kansas City, but there’s no telling when that will be.
There are plenty of reasons to carry disdain for Patrick Mahomes and company, but a bettor should always ride the hot hand. If 9-0 isn’t hot enough, it should be known that Patrick Mahomes is 11-3 as an underdog and 2-0 at Highmark Stadium. Seldom are the opportunities to bet the Chiefs with plus money, it went well in Week 7, and there’s no reason to think it will be different in Week 11.
