Tonight the Rice Owls (3-6 overall 2-3 AAC) travel to face the Memphis Tigers (7-2 overall 3-2 AAC).
Rice is coming off a 24-10 win over Navy. They travel to the Liberty Bowl this week. Memphis has yet to lose on its home field this season. Their offense has piled up 449 yards per game vs FBS competition this year. In comparison, the Rice offense has gained only 306 yards per game.
I look for Memphis to get out in front early here and never look back. Memphis still has a shot to play in their conference title game, as they close out the season vs Tulane.
The Odds
The oddsmakers opened this game at 11.5, which aligns with my numbers. Action then came in on Rice to drive the number down to a generous 7.5 where it sits currently. I took the Memphis Tigers.
