The Pirates are 21-10 (67%) as a home underdog on the run line this season. Pirates rookie right-hander Jared Jones is making his return from the IL to face the Cubs at PNC Park tonight. Jones struck out 10, while giving up only one hit and one walk in 5 innings in his last rehab outing. I would expect 80-85 pitches here today.
On the other leg of our parlay, Baltimore visits Shohei Ohtani and the LA Dodgers. The Orioles have been outstanding this season as road dogs on the run line. They are 16-4 (80%). While we have to back Cole Irvin on the mound for the O’s tonight, I’m also confident in their offense to keep them close in this one.
