The Royals have been sensational at home, going 39-25 at Kauffman Stadium. KC sends Cole Ragans to the mound. The Halos also counter with their own southpaw, Tyler Anderson.
The Royals are playing good baseball, as they’ve won 7 of their last 10 games and get to host the floundering Angels. LA is in last place in the AL West, and only the White Sox have a worse win percentage in the American League.
First Leg: Royals ML
In San Francisco, the aforementioned White Sox are in town. The Sox were bounced from contention on Saturday, August 17th, which is the earliest a team has ever been eliminated since the start of MLB’s divisional era in 1969. Previously, the 2018 Baltimore Orioles held that dubious distinction, as they were eliminated Aug. 20 that season.
After winning their past two games, The Giants find themselves two games over .500 and 3.5 games out of the final NL Wild Card Spot.
They’re 29-18 (61.2%) as a home betting favorite this year.
