The Dodgers and Yankees face off in the 2024 World Series. First pitch for Game One is Friday night at 8:08 est. I racked my brain trying to pick a side to bet in the 2024 World Series. That got me nowhere so I’m going to attack the series another way.
Yankees vs Dodgers
These teams are about as evenly matched as you can get and are mirror images of each other. Both have big boppers in Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. Let’s not forget about Freddie Freeman and a cast of others on both teams.
Big Bats
Both teams were in the top 10 in hitting during the regular season. The Yankees were first (273) and Dodgers (233) finished third in regular season home runs.
Pitchers
The same can be said about the starters. With all the injuries to the Dodgers starters Yankees starters, the rotations are a wash. I’d say the same goes for the bullpens.
Depth
I do think the Dodgers complimentary pieces may be a little stronger with Muncy and Hernandez compared to Torres and Stanton. Because I think the series is so close, I’m going to put a half unit on over 6.5 games at +200.
